How to Properly Use Fiberglass Tape

Repairing Wall Cracks
Clean the area around the crack beforehand to ensure the wall surface is clean and dry; no primer application is required.
Align the tape with the crack and press it down firmly; ensure the gap is fully covered, then trim off any excess tape with a cutting tool.
Allow the tape to air-dry, lightly sand the surface, apply a sufficient amount of compound or coating, and finally smooth the surface.

 

Industrial/General Reinforcement and Sealing
Clean oil and loose dust from the bonding surface and keep it dry.
Pre-stretch the tape as needed and wrap or apply it along the direction of stress; use a pressure roller to expel air bubbles and ensure a secure bond.
Wear heat-resistant gloves during high-temperature operations to prevent fiberglass shards from scratching the skin.

 

Usage Precautions
Wearing gloves is recommended during application to prevent skin irritation from fiberglass shards; if shards accidentally stick to the skin, use adhesive tape to lift them off before rinsing.
Cut the tape on a flat, clean surface; store unused tape in a sealed container and avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, which can compromise adhesiveness.
