Material Type: Prioritize products made from alkali-free (E-glass) raw materials, as they offer over 25% higher strength than medium-alkali alternatives. For alkaline environments (such as contact with cement mortar), alkali-resistant coated products are mandatory; in coastal areas with high salinity and alkalinity, prioritize models containing zirconia-based alkali-resistant fiberglass yarn.
Manufacturing Stability: Check that the warp and weft density deviation is ≤3% and that the weave intersections are specially coated to prevent separation. You may request third-party test reports to verify that parameters meet the GB/T 18370 national standard.
Visual Inspection: High-quality products feature a flat mesh surface free of burrs and have evenly distributed fiberglass strands. Inferior products often contain recycled materials, making them prone to brittle breakage and shedding/flaking.
Optimizing Based on Construction Needs and Budget
For large-scale exterior wall projects, choose rolls that are 1.2m wide and 100m or 200m long to minimize splicing and improve efficiency; for confined interior spaces, opt for smaller rolls (1m wide, 50m long) for easier handling and maneuverability.
Standard-grade mesh (80–120g/m²) can be used in non-critical areas to control costs, whereas high-specification products (over 140g/m²) should be prioritized for critical load-bearing or crack-prone areas to reduce long-term costs associated with repairs and rework.
