Exterior Wall Crack Resistant Mesh is produced from woven fiberglass yarns and finished with an alkali-resistant acrylic coating developed for cement-based construction systems. It serves as a reinforcing layer inside renders, base coats and external insulation systems where long-term dimensional stability is required.
From our experience, most cracks found on exterior facades are not caused by poor mortar quality alone. They usually result from continuous movement within the wall assembly. Daily temperature changes, moisture variation and slight structural movement gradually concentrate stress in localized areas. Reinforcement mesh helps disperse these forces before visible cracking develops.
Unlike ordinary woven fabrics, fiberglass mesh remains lightweight while offering stable tensile strength. Once fully embedded in mortar, it becomes part of the reinforcement layer rather than simply covering the surface.
Reinforcement Mechanism
