Construction Reinforcement Tape

Construction Reinforcement Tape is produced from woven fiberglass mesh with an alkali-resistant polymer coating for localized reinforcement in plaster, render, drywall, and cement-based finishing systems. The product is supplied in roll form and is intended for reinforcing joints, repaired areas, corners, and transitions where different building materials meet.

In renovation work, repaired sections rarely fail across the entire wall surface. Movement usually appears first along joints, previous repairs, service penetrations, or interfaces between substrates with different expansion characteristics. Construction reinforcement tape is introduced at these locations before the finishing layer is completed so that the reinforced area becomes part of the surrounding render rather than an independent surface layer.

Typical applications include drywall joint treatment, crack repair in plaster and render, reinforcement around window and door openings, cement board joints, corner detailing, waterproofing transitions, and refurbishment of existing wall finishes. The same construction principle is also used where localized reinforcement is required instead of full-width fiberglass mesh.

The construction reinforcement tape is manufactured from continuous fiberglass yarns with an alkali-resistant coating formulated for cementitious and gypsum-based systems. Standard production includes a range of widths and roll lengths, while mesh opening, fabric weight, coating type, and packaging configuration can be selected according to processing requirements and downstream installation methods. Where production lines use different compounds or application equipment, these parameters are normally defined before manufacturing to ensure compatibility with the finished system.
